German Working Tests
The DKV (Deutsch Kurzhaar Verband) breed tests consist of the Derby, Solms/AZP, Zuchtschau and only Deutsch Kurzhaar (DK) can enter DKV Tests. These tests are based on a 4 point scoring system and are not available outside of DKV associated clubs.

JGHV (Jagdebrachshundverband e.V.) tests such as the VJP, HZP, BTR, VSwP 20/40hr and VGP. JGHV tests are based on a 12 point system, except the VGP which follows the 4 point system or Pass/Fail. Derby
The main emphasis of the Derby is to evaluate the determination of nose quality, how fluid, persistent, and systematic the search is, how quickly game is found, the steadiness of pointing, and the manner of cooperation. Also assessed is the dog’s mental stability, temperament, and maturity which are very important.
During the Derby the Wesen Test was also performed to determine the disposition/temperament and characteristics of the dogs.

A Zuchtschau is held to evaluate the conformation of the dogs according to the FCI breed standard. In order to be considered for breed eligibility a dog must have been evaluated in conformation at least "Good" and passed standard as fit for breeding. (vom Rollenwald)
During the Zuchtschau eyes and full dentition are assessed and each dog is wicketed to determine height.
