Health Testing
vom Zamora breeding dogs are health tested and certified to the FCI, DKV, and JGHV standards.
DKV Health Testing Regulations:
- A hip joint dysplasia evaluation score of HD A1, A2, B1, B2. Verification and documentation are ensued in compliance to the DK-Verband regulations (implementation rule governing the control of genetic disorders and defects)
- Osteochondrosis dissecans (OCD) examination of the shoulder joint with the diagnosis OCD Free/Normal is additionally required in order to be breed qualified
- Übergangswirbel Free (Transitional Vertebra)
- Dogs with full and correct dentition
- Dogs free of eye problems: ectropion, entropion, distichiasis
- Dogs that respect the breed standard in terms of size, colour, conformation, movement etc. (as per FCI breed standard)
vom Zamora also health tests for the following:
- Cardiac Evaluation by a Cardiologist
- Companion Animal Eye Registry (CAER) eye exam by an Ophthalmologist
- Elbow Dysplasia (ED) Free/Normal
- Cone Degeneration
- Degenerative Myelopathy
- Von Willebrands
